Several hours passed after The Eldest Sister had stepped into the dark forest and The Eldest Son rushed to The Father to tell him of his missing sister. The Father quickly took count of his family and could only find The Mother, The Third Daughter, and The Eldest Son.

The father, concerned for his Children, rushed to the forest hoping to find The Eldest Son’s claim to be farce. But as he reached the forest, The Father looked and saw shadowy figures looming deep in the forest.

The Father called to The Youngest son. The Father heard nothing.

The Father called to The Youngest Daughter. The Father heard nothing.

The Father called to The Second Son. The Father heard nothing.

The Father called to The Second daughter. The Father heard nothing.

The Father called to The Third son. The Father heard nothing.

The Father called to The Third Daughter. The Father heard nothing.

The Father called to The Eldest Daughter. The terrified voice of The eldest Daughter cried out to The Father from behind the shadows.

The Father ran into the forest begging the shadows for his Families safe return, But the shadows silently retreated. The Father hastened his run, but the shadows only retreated faster.

Being unlearned in the ways of tracking and pursuit The Father was unable to follow his daughters screams through the dense trees, and soon became lost.

Distraught and frightened, The Father wandered aimlessly through the dense forest. Lost, alone, and frightened.

Hours passed and the Father happened upon a circle of familiar ruins. Staggering amongst the broken buildings, The Father looked and saw the structures had been smashed and the pillars and beams broken. All about him, the father looked and saw tools of war and bloodshed.

He continued to look at the familiar beams and structures and he beheld The Eldest Daughter, laying dead, decapitated and mutilated in the midst of the broken buildings and tools of war.
