Time passed and the creatures in the woods were forgotten. The Family continued to live in peace and prosperity until one day the woods surrounding the families home darkened.
The Eldest Son timidly approached the forest to see whence the shadows came. As he came closer to the forest The Eldest Daughter approached from behind and called out, “Why do you look into the forest with a face of fear?”
The Eldest Son replied, “I do not understand the dark and I worry that it holds an enemy to our house who has come to kill our family.”
The Eldest Daughter looked on her brother with amusement, “There is no enemy to our house, our family has lived here in peace since before we had record.”
The Eldest Son took no comfort in his sisters words and continued his fervent search for the perceived evil.
Seeing The Eldest Son’s fear and wishing to raise his spirits The Eldest Sister walked past her brother saying, “I will go and look into the dark. you will see there is no danger in the absence of light.”
With that, The Eldest Sister disappeared into the forest, never to return.
