The Dark Fable (Part 2)
Several days passed after the discovery of the creatures in the woods. The Second Son and The Second Daughter walked along the Forrest perimeter.
“I have been watching the creatures in the Forrest.” Admitted The Second Daughter to her brother, “I believe that, like us, they are intelligent.”
“No wild creature could possibly be as intelligent or cunning as we.” replied the second son.
“I have watched them build intricate houses, and fashion delicate works of art.” continued the second daughter, “I believe them intelligent enough to even use our tools and technology.
The second son pondered The Second Daughter’s observation as they continued to walk. Soon, the siblings came across several larger creatures laying beside the path, sleeping. Seeing the creatures slumbering, the Second son quickly bound the creature’s legs and arms.
“Why do you do this?” asked The Second Daughter.
“Do you truly believe these creatures can be taught to use our tools?” asked The Second Son.
“I do.” replied The Second Daughter.
“Then I shall teach them to use our tools, enabling them to perform my chores, so I may instead find more time to rest.”
With this The second daughter left The Second Son to toil in subduing his prize.
