I’m not entirely sure why, but I have a lot of respect for Lady Gaga… sure, she’s crazy… but she knows art, and she knows how to be entertaining without selling out. Most “Artists” who partner up with a tech company (Bono, I’m looking squarely at you. jack-ass!) they only sell their image and logo to that company, they take no time to familiarize themselves with the products they will endorse… Gaga, on the other hand, not only got familiar, she strait up felt it up, showed it how to dress, then taught it some table manners!!!

watch this…

now for my take on the world of entertainment: once upon a time, entertainers were considered lower class citizens. not that entertaining people was a BAD thing persay, but that people who entertained for a living were of less value than the average person.

In contrast; people who had guests over, entertained their guests. People went to friends houses and expected to be entertained with conversation, or humor, or some other such thing. people who entertained in this manner did so to show respect for their guests and in this way expressed their desire to have company.

at some point people got lazy and began “hiring” their entertainment… at first the songs arround the fireplace was replaced with a record player then a CD player, and the humor was replaced by television. we forgot what entertainers used to be: second class.

This is an example of the opposite and I hope this continues. an impromptu talent show. friken sweet.

A while ago, I posted an article reguarding the decline of playable games in the Videogame industry… today, an update:

Bungie released their “last” addition to the Halo series. Previously I had bitched about the totally unplayable nature of just about every game following Halo CE, they were built to be MEAN to me, the gamer! But Bungie has redeamed themselves. when I launched the game the first thing I did was open the firefight mode… I  needed to see if the game had a life after the campaign… and it does. while bungie did NOT include a full forge option (a feature that firefight DESPERATELY deserves) they did add custom games… that means I can customize the atributes within the game to change the experiance, right down to the unlimited ammo!!!

Thank you bungie, you have made the last Halo game the best. that feature alone makes me a very happy gamer… Now ‘skuse me, I have grunts to kill.
